PPE REQUIREMENTS:

• Drivers to wear high visibility clothing and safety boots.

 

MOVEMENT REQUIREMENTS ON GATE ENTRY:

• Drivers must obey all signs and directions from staff.

• There are to be no passengers in vehicles.

• All trucks must stop on weighbridge and not proceed until directed by GRC staff/supervisor.

• Before leaving weighbridge on entry, drivers must be familiar with unloading and exit route and not divert.

• Hazard light or rotary beacon must be turned on when departing weighbridge to unload.

• Drivers are not to walk behind vehicle at any time including opening tailgate.

• No use of mobile phones unless stationary.

• No servicing, repairs or maintenance to be done on site, in case of break down contact site supervisor / manager.

• Radio UHF channel 3 for all communications.

• The use of cameras or any other recording device is strictly prohibited onsite.

• Only one truck at a time is permitted to empty. Second truck must wait on weighbridge until first truck exits or otherwise directed by GRC staff.

 

EMERGENCY PROCEDURES:

• If assistance is required sound vehicle horn, GRC personnel will respond and driver is to remain at vehicle station at all times.

• In the event of an emergency, driver is to sound horn multiple times, GRC personnel will respond and driver is to remain at vehicle station at all times.
